Actually bad graffiti is not that uncommon, but if you like murals and street art Montreal will not disappoint you. What we have here, is pretty remarkable. In 2013 Montreal hosted its first festival of public art: Mural. It was a big success and has been back every summer since. This year it will be held form June 9-19th.
If you look-up www.artducommun.com you will come to the conclusion that they are not responsible for the bad graffiti on their back door. Artducommun is a collective of professional artists that specializes in murals.
This post is part of the Thursday Doors Challenge, hosted by Norm 2.0.
I hope the buckling of the left side of the door frame isn’t a serious structural problem.
You can bet that if I’m able to, this year I’ll be out there with my camera for this event – these artists are amazing. I thought it was all done on St-Laurent but it looks like it’s done at a few different locations.

It remains an ongoing debate, as “street art” continues to flourish. I love it, for one. Of course, I will agree that there is a difference in true graffiti and art! Thanks for posting.

Absolutely, when it’s well done it can enrich a place but the opposite is also true

Montreal evidently has a LOT of street art and graffiti. Must be fun to see.
