Honestly, the child in me LOVES ❤️ that door!!! What a cool idea to please your little ones.
It is located at the back of the house in the alley so it doesn’t detract from the look of the property from the front.

Cool. My friends and I could’ve had a lot of fun with a door like that when we were kids. Oh wait, we did…but got chased away a lot! 😀

Reminds me of how I used to let my kids draw on the shed door with coloured chalks. That way they got fresh air and creative at the same time. It was never long before a good old shower of Irish rain washed it clean. 🙂

You were (and probably still are) a very cool mom!

I only felt cool when they drew on the shed doors, lol. The interior doors and walls had their fair share of artwork over the years, sometimes with indelible marker. But it was all in the cause of creativity – at least that’s what I told myself. 😉

We used to chalk flamingos and palm trees on the redwood fence boards. Like Ms Reinhardt’s shed doors, they would last until a good rain and then we got to go do it again.
Love this door!

Oh I love that! I got to use chalk on the streets, driveway and sidewalks but I would have loved to do it on a door. I wish I would have thought of it for my kids too. Thanks for commenting.

Is it a chalkboard door or did they just let their children draw on it? Either way, it’s cool. Our girls did some amazing chalk drawings on the driveway, but never on the door.

To be fair Janet, I called it “Blackboard Door” but I do not know for a fact that that’s what they actually used to paint their door. Who knows? But from the standpoint of a kid, I think it is very cool blackboard paint or not!
